Are you an experienced recruiter who wants to do more than just fill vacancies?

We’re looking for a driven, sales-oriented Senior Recruitment Consultant to join our growing Shanghai team and build a successful career within the Oil & Gas sector.

Whether your background is in permanent recruitment, contract recruitment, or another agency recruitment environment, we’re interested in people who are commercially minded, ambitious, and motivated by winning business and building long-term relationships.

This is an entrepreneurial role where you’ll take ownership of your own desk, clients, candidates, and commercial results — with the support of a global recruitment business behind you.

🔥 What You’ll Be Doing

End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and interviewing candidates through to offer negotiation and placement.

Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive sales activity, networking, referrals, and relationship building.

Client Management: Build trusted relationships with existing and prospective clients, understand their workforce needs, and become a valued recruitment partner.

Candidate Management: Build and maintain a strong candidate network, provide career guidance, and create long-term relationships with high-quality professionals.

Market Development: Develop your own market knowledge and network within the Oil & Gas sector, identifying opportunities and building a strong commercial pipeline.

Account Growth: Grow existing accounts while developing new client relationships through telephone, online, and face-to-face meetings.

Own Your Desk: Take ownership of your market, pipeline, clients, candidates, and revenue — with the autonomy to develop your own strategy and approach.

💡 What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of agency recruitment experience
• Experience in permanent recruitment is welcome — you don't need to come from a contract recruitment background
• A strong sales and business development mindset
• Driven, ambitious, and motivated by targets and results
• Confident communicating with candidates, clients, and senior stakeholders
• Strong relationship-building and networking skills
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
• Entrepreneurial mindset — someone who wants to build something, not just manage a desk
• Experience within Oil & Gas, Energy, Engineering, Power, or related sectors is highly desirable
• Fluent English and Mandarin
