As we continue to grow our presence in Malaysia, we are looking for an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to join our Kuala Lumpur team, focusing on permanent technology recruitment within the Banking, FinTech and Cyber Security sectors.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a recruiter who already has an established network within Malaysia's technology hiring market and can leverage existing relationships to drive business growth.

You will take ownership of a specialist desk, partnering with banks, digital banks, financial institutions, fintech organisations, and cyber security businesses to deliver high-quality permanent recruitment solutions.

Success in this role will come from your ability to develop long-term client partnerships, identify new opportunities, and become a trusted advisor within your market.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full 360° recruitment lifecycle for permanent technology positions.
• Develop and grow relationships with key hiring managers and decision-makers across Banking, FinTech and Cyber Security organisations.
• Generate new business opportunities through existing networks, referrals, market mapping and targeted business development.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of technology professionals across Malaysia.
• Provide market intelligence, salary benchmarking and hiring advice to clients.
• Deliver outstanding candidate and client experiences throughout the recruitment process.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, terms of business and placement fees.
• Consistently achieve revenue and performance targets.
• Represent Halian in the market as a trusted technology recruitment specialist.

What We're Looking For

• 4-7 years of recruitment experience within an agency environment.
• Proven success in permanent recruitment and business development.
• Strong track record recruiting within the Technology sector.
• Existing relationships and networks within Malaysia's Banking, Financial Services, FinTech and/or Cyber Security markets are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to win, develop and manage client accounts.
• Commercially driven with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
• Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
