Managing Consultant
Location – Houston, TX
Looking to lead, grow, and make a real impact in a high-growth market? Join NES Fircroft as a Managing Consultant, where you’ll play a pivotal role in expanding our Power Generation business across the U.S. This is a hands-on leadership role combining recruitment delivery, business development, and team performance in a fast-paced, sales-driven environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Recruitment Leadership – Lead the recruitment of contract technical professionals within the Power Generation sector, ensuring first-class delivery aligned with client and company expectations.
Team Performance & KPI Ownership – Supervise and guide the team to deliver against KPIs, desk plans, and budget targets set through forecasting and reforecasting cycles.
Business Development & Growth – Identify and pursue new business opportunities with both existing and new clients through market research, networking, and industry engagement.
Operational Support & Reporting – Support the Senior Manager and Director by monitoring team performance, reporting on results, and driving initiatives that support placement and BD targets.
Coaching & Development – Conduct monthly performance reviews focused on results, development plans, behaviors, and progression against objectives.
Issue Resolution – Address recruitment, onboarding, and contractor issues in real time with urgency, ownership, and professionalism.
Client & Contractor Care – Proactively manage potential risks related to service levels, assignment conditions, and legislative changes, resolving issues clearly and efficiently.
Commercial & Investment Oversight – Manage CAPEX and non-budgeted investments, preparing clear business cases to support strategic decisions.
Market Expertise – Stay ahead of Power Generation market trends and developments to support strategic planning and sustainable growth.
What We’re Looking For:
Industry Experience – 7+ years of experience in contract recruitment, ideally within Power Generation or related technical sectors.
Commercial Acumen – Proven success in business development, account growth, and contract negotiation, with exposure to budgeting and P&L management.
Leadership Capability – Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams in a projected growth market.
Organizational Strength – Smart, methodical, and highly organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Confident Communicator – Articulate with strong written and verbal presentation skills.
Team Player – Collaborative by nature, yet comfortable working autonomously and taking initiative.
