Accounts Assistant

We’re looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic Bangalore team. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in supporting financial operations, managing invoicing and reconciliations, and ensuring the integrity of financial records across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Invoice Management: Verify and process supplier invoices in accordance with company policies and established procedures.
• Sales Invoicing: Raise customer and intercompany sales invoices accurately and within required timelines.
• Vendor Reconciliation: Perform regular vendor reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly to maintain accurate records.
• Expense Reconciliation: Reconcile expenses and regional recharge transactions, proactively addressing variances to prevent invoice rejections and billing issues.
• Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries accurately within the ERP system while maintaining data integrity.
• ERP Administration: Support financial transaction processing and ensure accurate record maintenance within the ERP platform.
• Balance Sheet Support: Prepare balance sheet schedules and assist with reconciliation activities to support month-end and year-end processes.
• Statement of Account Management: Reconcile vendor and customer Statements of Account (SOA) to ensure financial accuracy and timely issue resolution.
• Reporting Support: Assist accountants with financial reporting, analysis, and ad hoc requests as required.
• Operational Support: Undertake additional duties and responsibilities aligned with business needs and team objectives.

What We're Looking For

• Educational Qualifications: Commerce Graduate, CA IPCC, or other relevant accounting and finance qualifications.
• Relevant Experience: 2 to 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within a Record-to-Report (R2R) environment.
• ERP Expertise: Experience processing purchase invoices, sales invoices, and journal entries within ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and financial data analysis.
• Reconciliation Experience: Proven experience in vendor and customer SOA reconciliations and maintaining financial accuracy.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Team Collaboration: Positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and commitment to maintaining quality standards in financial processes.
