NES Fircroft is looking for a full-time Principal Recruitment Consultant to join our team in Perth, specialising in contract recruitment across the Defence sector.

In this high-impact role, you’ll leverage your expertise to deliver top-tier talent into complex, high-value defence projects across Australia. With increasing investment in defence capability and infrastructure, this is a unique opportunity to position yourself at the forefront of a rapidly growing and highly strategic market.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Client Relationship Management: Build and grow strong partnerships with defence primes, subcontractors, and engineering consultancies, delivering tailored recruitment solutions aligned to project and compliance requirements.
• Contract Recruitment Expertise: Own and manage the full recruitment lifecycle for contract roles, placing skilled professionals across engineering, project controls, procurement, ICT, and technical support functions within defence programs.
• Market Leadership: Stay ahead of defence sector trends, including workforce demand, security clearance requirements, and project pipelines, providing valuable insights to both clients and candidates.
• Business Development: Proactively identify and win new business opportunities, expanding NES Fircroft’s footprint across defence projects, shipbuilding programs, and sustainment activities.
• Candidate Management: Source, engage, and manage high-quality candidates, including those with active or eligible security clearances, building a strong and reliable talent pipeline.

What We’re Looking For:

• Extensive experience in contract recruitment within an agency environment
• Exposure to Defence, engineering, infrastructure, or government-related sectors is highly desirable
• Proven track record in business development and winning new clients
• Strong understanding of complex, compliance-driven environments (e.g. security clearances, regulated projects)
• A proactive, commercially driven mindset with a strong focus on results
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels
• A team-oriented approach, with the ability to contribute to a high-performance culture
