ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Operations Associate to support our legal and compliance functions. This role involves managing supplier-related processes, assisting in contract reviews, and ensuring timely responses to legal queries. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently, handling stakeholder communications, and maintaining high standards of turnaround time (TAT)


What You’ll Be Doing:
Global Supplier Onboarding & Compliance: Oversee the global supplier onboarding and management process, ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal standards.
Contract Review & Risk Assessment: Review supplier contracts, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and other legal documents to identify risks and ensure alignment with company interests.
Vendor Management Support: Assist the Assistant Legal Manager in managing the vendor management process, including documentation, compliance checks, and coordination with relevant teams.
Internal Legal Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to address legal review queries, providing guidance and ensuring timely and accurate responses.
Contract Lifecycle Monitoring: Monitor contract expiry alerts and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely renewals or closures.
Stakeholder Engagement: Independently engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand and resolve legal queries, including participating in calls and discussions.
Inbox & Request Management: Manage the VM email inbox, ensuring all incoming requests are tracked, assigned, and responded to within defined TAT.
Legal Research & Compliance Assistance: Support the General Manager in conducting legal research and handling compliance-related matters as required.
Operational Efficiency & Timeliness: Maintain a strong focus on meeting turnaround times across all responsibilities, ensuring efficient and timely legal operations.
Supplier Due Diligence & Risk Mitigation: Support the onboarding process of new suppliers by assisting in comprehensive due diligence. Evaluate potential legal liabilities and risks and provide well-informed recommendations and actions to mitigate exposure.

Required Attributes:
Commercial Risk Analysis: Able to understand the Commercial risk parameters of the business and to apply a range of solutions in a coherent, logical manner to enable the recipient to understand the recommendation.
Critical Thinking & Inquiry: Adopts a questioning approach to clarify or more fully understand an issue.
Effective Communication Strategy: Identifies the key points to communicate on any interaction and selecting the correct method of communication to resolve the issues.
Information Gathering & Decision Making: Gathers information from multiple sources, analyses, and critiques it before making an informed recommendation to internal team.
Legal Expertise: Strong understanding of contract law and vendor management processes
Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Independent Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Detail Orientation: Attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines
Relevant Experience: Prior experience in legal operations or contract management is preferred

Essential Criteria:
Educational Background: Law graduate with 3-5 years of PQE.
Legal & Contract Expertise: Strong understanding of contract law and vendor management processes
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Self-Management & Multitasking: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Detail Orientation & Deadline Commitment: Attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines
Relevant Industry Experience: Prior experience in legal operations or contract management is preferred
Legal Drafting Proficiency: Excellent legal drafting and communication skills (written & spoken).
