An experienced and highly motivated Recruitment Consultant specialising in permanent (Perm) placements within IT and Finance markets, operating in fast-moving, candidate-driven environments. You will develop business development strategies to attract new clients, understand hiring requirements, and deliver tailored permanent recruitment solutions. You will be responsible for sourcing, screening and shortlisting high-quality candidates for a range of technical roles while building strong client and candidate relationships.
 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Business Development & Revenue Growth: Develop and execute targeted long term business development strategies, generating new leads and expanding your client base within IT or Finance permanent markets to achieve revenue targets.
  • Strategic Recruitment Management: Operate within fast-moving, candidate-driven permanent recruitment markets, building market maps and creating targeted recruitment strategies aligned to client hiring plans.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, consulting on permanent hiring strategies and delivering tailored recruitment solutions based on business needs.
  • Recruitment Process Management: Manage the end-to-end permanent recruitment lifecycle including role qualification, job advertising, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management and placement completion.
  • Service Delivery & Talent Pipeline Management: Source, screen and maintain strong pipelines of mid-level, senior and specialist permanent candidates to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
  • Commercial & Performance Management: Support commercial activity through fee negotiation, managing placement performance and ensuring delivery aligns with revenue targets.
  • Operational Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with internal teams to track activity, maintain CRM accuracy and provide regular updates on pipeline, performance and delivery.
  • Market Insight & Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity and market developments to ensure permanent recruitment strategies remain competitive and effective.

What We’re Looking For

  • Recruitment Experience: Proven background in permanent recruitment, ideally within IT, Technology or Finance markets, working in a 360 agency environment.
  • Business Development & Sales Skills: Ideally strong sales capability with experience generating new business and developing client portfolios.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both clients and candidates.
  • Market & Technical Understanding: Ability to understand technical job requirements and accurately match candidates to specialist permanent roles.
  • Prioritisation & Pace: Ability to manage multiple vacancies, clients and priorities in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Systems & Technology: Experience using job boards, LinkedIn and recruitment systems, or willingness to learn new platforms.
  • Qualifications & Education: Degree preferred but not essential, with proven recruitment experience (ideally 2+ years within IT, Tech or Finance recruitment).
  • Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, target-driven and highly organised, with strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating with wider teams.
