ABOUT THE JOB:
As a Receivables Trainee, you’ll support the finance team in ensuring that transactions are accurately recorded, matched, and resolved. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to dive into the world of financial operations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Transaction Matching & Verification: Reconcile financial data between internal systems and external sources (e.g., customer portals, bank statements, vendor reports).
Discrepancy Investigation: Identify mismatches, investigate root causes, and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve issues.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain reconciliation logs, prepare summary reports, and ensure proper documentation for audit and compliance.
System Updates: Update reconciliation status in ERP systems (e.g., Navision) and ensure data accuracy across platforms.
Collaboration: Work closely with invoicing, credit control, and operations teams to ensure timely resolution of open items.
Process Improvement: Suggest improvements to reconciliation workflows, contribute to automation and help streamline reporting.
Learning & Development: Participate in training sessions to enhance your understanding of reconciliation tools, financial systems, and compliance standards
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience in reconciliation, invoicing, or finance-related roles.
Educational Background: A degree in Commerce, Finance, or Business Administration (B.Com, M.Com, BBA, MBA preferred).
Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables.
Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial workflows.
Analytical & Detail Orientation: Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
Communication Skills: Clear and professional written and verbal communication to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Eagerness to Learn: A proactive mindset with a willingness to grow in a fast-paced financial environment.
