Join NES Fircroft as an Accounts Assistant - Accounts Payable!
We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Assistant (Accounts Payable) to join our Shared Service Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Reporting to the Shared Service Team Lead, this role plays a key part in supporting our regional Accounts Payable operations, while also assisting with Accounts Receivable and Bank Reconciliation activities for NES Fircroft.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Process accounts payable invoices, staff claims, corporate credit card expenses, journal postings, and support month‑end closing activities.
- Prepare, process, and update electronic and manual payments according to agreed schedules.
- Investigate and reverse failed or rejected payments in a timely manner.
- Perform vendor reconciliation and resolve queries related to statements, invoices, and payment information.
- Handle critical stakeholder queries (internal and external) professionally and accurately.
- Work cross‑functionally with finance and non‑finance teams to ensure smooth end‑to‑end AP operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose best‑practice enhancements.
- Provide backup support across the team and assist with other duties when required.
- Participate in compliance audits and respond to audit requests promptly.
- Compile data for SLA and KPI reporting and assist with analysis.
- Maintain proper and organised accounting records and filing.
- Support tasks related to banking facilities and perform ad‑hoc responsibilities assigned by the Team Lead.
What You’ll Bring:
- Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable with strong exposure to AP operations.
- Knowledge of Navision ERP is an added advantage.
- Highly meticulous, analytical, hands‑on, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Able to liaise confidently with auditors, bankers, and accountants.
- Strong communication skills in English (Bahasa Malaysia is beneficial).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
- Proactive, results‑oriented, eager to learn, and capable of working independently.
- Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset, with experience in project work or change management.
