Our Singapore office consists of professionals working across recruitment, assignment support, contractor engagement, IT and Bids & Tenders. The team works on job opportunities across the Fabrication, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Chemicals, Renewables, Conventional Power, and Aviation sectors - safe to say, things are varied!
The team loves to have fun in and out of the office. We celebrated Chinese New Year with a meal at the Dim Sum Place, International Women’s Day at the Oscar restaurant in the Conrad Hotel, and held a Hari Raya celebration meal in the office. We're also sure to celebrate business achievements - this year, we took a trip to Universal Studios Singapore for consistently hitting our targets, and held a celebration meal at Kazbar Restaurant.
In Singapore you will be spoiled with dining choices. From local to international cuisines, and a-la-carte to buffet menus. Singapore is often touted as “The Food Paradise”. The team goes everywhere in Singapore to expand their taste buds as public transport is so convenient. A firm team favourite - Kazbar Restaurant - does Middle Eastern cuisine and never fails to impress.
The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands is one of the largest shopping malls with over 200 luxury shops. It's worth visiting! ION Orchard is another large stylish shopping complex spanning eight floors, and a diverse range of high-end brand stores. However some of the best places to shop come in the form of outdoor markets, bustling roads and clusters of quaint boutiques. Both Chinatown and Little India are great shopping destinations in their own right, and the vast Bugis Street Market is a fun and friendly shopping experience.
No trip to Singapore would be complete without a visit to Lau Pa Sat - experience unique food culture housed within one of the most monumental structures in Singapore. Just a 1-minute walk away from NES Singapore’s office, at 7pm the street is closed and tables and chairs are set-out and satay stalls opened, along with drinks stalls and other local food from the adjacent hawker food market. Other highlights include The Gardens by the Bay, the Singapore Zoo, the Marina Bay Sands Observation deck and Universal Studios.
Singapore's nightlife is mainly concentrated around the city centre. Typically going out to eat, meeting up with friends for drinks, working out or shopping. You'll be spoilt for choice and certainly won't be bored! Many attractions sell tickets for specifically after working day hours, so there's plenty of things to do to take up your spare time.
There are many many coffee shops. Amoy Street Food Centre is one of them - a bustling hawker centre which houses Michelin Bib Gourmand awardees.
Our office is in the Central Business District (CBD) area. The CBD is home to many integral finance centres as well as office buildings and commercial facilities. We're close to the world-famous Lau Pa Sat.
As our office is located in the most densely populated area of Singapore, it's well serviced by MRT stations, namely Tanjong Pager MRT station (green line), Raffles Placey MRT station (red line), Telok Ayer MRT station (blue line) and Shenton Way MRT station (brown line).
There are also SBS buses that take you everywhere in the city. Car parks can be found in most office buildings. There are also a handful of places for storing bicycles.
