The VP - Business Development will be responsible for executing the sales strategy on a regional basis by identifying and building relationships with new and existing clients in targeted market sectors.

While the role is primarily responsible for engaging client contacts and key contractors to identify and win strategic business opportunities, there will be considerable emphasis placed on leadership of the wider BD function. Subsequently, the VP - Business Development will also be responsible for hiring, training and development of the BD professionals in the region and managing the sales process to ensure consistent lead generation and sales pipeline visibility and performance.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the VP - Business Development will work in close cooperation with global counterpart, and senior management in the Americas region. There will also be considerable interaction with marketing, bids and tenders and the commercial function.  

 

What You’ll Be Doing 💼💻: 

  • Identify and seek out profitable new business and income streams from both new and established clients. Lead by example in delivering significant new business.
  • Improve the quality of people and process that underpin transactional BD activity, creating a more visible pipeline that can be utilized to assess performance in the market as well as future investment against growth objectives.
  • Working closely with the operational and key account management teams, coordinate project specific meetings and calls to improve the effectiveness of current processes in ensuring business opportunities are maximized and NES is positioned as a key supplier early in project timelines.
  • Leading strategic BD research and reporting related to market and client specific developments, such that project databases and annual sales strategy can be updated or revised in real time, and the NES Global Talent brand is positioned to support new sales.
  • Supporting the operations and recruitment teams to transition new client relationships into a successful service delivery / account management mode of operation.


What We’re Looking For 🔍👀: 

  • Previous experience within the Recruitment Industry or Sales within Energy or Engineering Services – preferably 10+ years.
  • Strong Commercial acumen, including demonstrated experience in bids and tenders, proposals, and pricing formulation using excel.
  • Outgoing and confident personality with a proven track record in building and developing client relationships. 
  • Strong organisational skills, smart and methodical, demonstrating ability to multitask and prioritise.
  • Team player who can also take initiative and work in an autonomous fashion.
  • Good communicator, articulate with strong external presentation skills (written & verbal).
  • Leadership attributes, with a demonstrated motivation to build and manage teams / business units. 
  • A commitment to attracting and developing industry leading staff as the platform for future business growth.
