About the Role: As a Credit Controller at NES Fircroft, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining our financial health by managing and recovering debts, optimizing credit processes, and building strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities:
- Ledger Management: Handle high-value customer accounts, ensuring effective ledger management and prompt dispute resolution.
- Debt Recovery: Actively chase overdue payments via phone, email, and other channels to ensure timely collections.
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, providing exceptional service.
- Financial Oversight: Support the cash allocation team, ensuring payments align with customer remittances.
- Query Resolution: Collaborate with sales and invoicing teams to resolve customer queries efficiently.
- Credit Risk Monitoring: Monitor customer credit ratings and take necessary actions to mitigate financial risks.
- Account Setup & Maintenance: Ensure seamless setup of new customer accounts with all required documentation.
- Debtor Days Reduction: Lead initiatives to reduce debtor days, improving cash flow and minimizing overdue receivables.
- Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with the Shared Service Centre to align processes and ensure smooth operations.
- Reporting: Prepare and present debt management reports to senior finance and operations teams.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 5+ years as a Credit Controller or in a similar financial role, with a proven track record in accounts receivable and debt recovery.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, confident in interacting with internal teams and clients.
- Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and resolve queries professionally.
- Financial Expertise: Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook, with strong financial data analysis skills.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent decision-making skills for resolving complex credit and collection issues.
- Tech Savvy: Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Microsoft Navision is a plus.
- Team Player: Thrive in a team environment and collaborate effectively with other departments.
- Credit Risk Awareness: Strong knowledge of credit management and risk assessment procedures.
