Government Relations Officer

Key Responsibilities:
- Establish good relations with government offices to conduct smooth and efficient business
- Acts as a liaison with government agencies to ensure that Company affairs are handled expediently and that a good relationship is maintained / built.
- Organize all routine processing of Immigration documents e.g. residence, work permits, medical examination, and visas, to complete all the necessary legal formalities.
- Provide advice, guidance and assistance regarding government related matter to ensure that all employees understand the requirements of government authorities
- Deliver and expedite the processing of highly confidential applications to ensure that they are dealt with quickly and efficiently.

- Ability to comfortably advise on all employee relation issues.
- Ability to communicate clearly, persuasively and with confidence at all levels.
- Listening and counselling skills with an ability to handle difficult and confrontational situations.
- Self-motivated, with an ability to manage own workload with minimum supervision.
- Ability to gain respect from colleagues at all levels.
- Highly confidential and ability to maintain honesty, integrity and empathy in handling personal and company matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ideally 3+ years’ experience in Public / Government relations
- Must be able to fulfill day to day PRO duties in office and GRO duties outside the office by visiting the required Government departments
- Must have good communication skills and be adaptable, flexible and extremely proactive
