ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a First Line Support - Infrastructure, you will be the first point of contact for our IT-related queries and issues. Your role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency and security of our IT systems.
What You’ll Be Doing 💼💻:
- Install and Configure Software and Hardware: Set up and maintain essential IT infrastructure.
- Manage Network Servers and Technology Tools: Ensure our network and tools are running smoothly.
- Set Up Accounts for New Users: Manage workstations and mobile devices for new employees.
- Monitor Performance: Keep an eye on system performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
- Troubleshoot Issues and Outages: Quickly resolve any IT issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure Security: Implement access controls, backups, and firewalls to protect our data.
- Upgrade Systems: Keep our systems up-to-date with the latest releases and models.
- Develop Expertise: Train staff on new technologies and build an internal wiki with technical documentation.
- Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting and technical support to employees.
- Manage System Permissions: Create and manage user accounts and system permissions.
- Maintain IT Inventory: Keep track of IT assets within the region.
What We’re Looking For 🔍👀:
- Experience: Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
- Technical Skills: Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management.
- Software Knowledge: Good understanding of TEAMs, Office365, and Autopilot.
- Security Awareness: Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
- Versatility: Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
- Problem-Solving: Resourcefulness and a strong problem-solving aptitude.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills.
- Experience: 2+ years’ experience in system administration.
- Education: Associate or higher degree in a related field.
- Availability: Ability to respond to help desk requests after hours on a limited basis.
